We hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. We are writing to inform you of an important update to the membership and administration rules for all Court Cast WhatsApp Groups and other Court Cast social platforms.
We kindly request your attention to the following policy update regarding who is eligible to join, contribute, administer, and manage Court Cast:
— Lawyers
— Retired judges
— Law professors / teachers (serving and/or retired)
— Petition writers
— Notaries
— Court clerks / staff (serving and/or retired)
— Legal assistants (lawyer’s agents)
— Stenographers
— Stamp vendors
— Law students
If you are not part of the legal fraternity (as indicated above) or do not have any association with it (as indicated above), we humbly request that you consider leaving. A comprehensive policy document in this regard will be published after Eid.
The policy is being formulated on the following principles:
- Court Cast represents the court and all individuals involved in it. We aim to reflect the spirit of the court and its values of helpfulness, coordination and collaboration, honesty and integrity, supremacy of the rule of law, egalitarianism and non-discrimination, and professionalism.
- Court Cast does not discriminate against any individual or group based on protected characteristics or any other characteristic or identity that should be protected if not already. We believe that having the group membership and administration only for lawyers and nobody else goes against the ideals and principles on whose strength and basis Court Cast was established.
- We will not allow anyone to influence or cause coercion that goes against our values. Anyone who tries to vitiate the atmosphere of Court Cast platforms or make childish attempts to dictate terms to the platforms or founders or admins thereof shall be removed immediately and permanently banned from all Court Cast platforms.
- While we prioritize inclusivity, Court Cast also values merit and capability. We will continue to evolve and ensure our commitment to quality and efficiency, amongst all else.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we continue to uphold the values that make Court Cast the inclusive and collaborative platform it was designed to be.
“…never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense”.
