Absher Powers Millions of Digital Services Across Saudi Arabia in September

Saudi Arabia’s Absher platform orchestrated over 9 million electronic transactions last month, streamlining government services for citizens, residents, and visitors. The system, split between Absher Individuals and Absher Business, handled a diverse range of tasks—demonstrating the expanding role of e-governance in everyday life.

Identity and Passport Services Surge

In identity management, Absher facilitated 81,504 verifications, processed 43,151 national ID renewals, and issued 8,309 replacements for lost IDs. The General Directorate of Passports reported 286,043 residency renewals, 222,968 exit and return visas, and 96,341 electronic passport transactions. Passport services extended to younger demographics too, with 20,753 passports issued or renewed for children under 10.

Business Operations Thrive on Absher Platform

Absher Business proved vital, processing over 2.29 million transactions. Key operations included the issuance of 1.17 million authorizations, 340,524 residency permits, and 111,871 exit and return visas. Traffic management services also saw significant activity, with 231,059 inquiries about violations and 32,060 driving licenses renewed.

Vehicle and Security-Related Activities Expand

Public security services on the platform registered 131,826 vehicle renewals, 102,990 repair permits, and 35,010 vehicle sales. Additionally, 14,314 firearms transactions and 8,932 vehicle insurance checks were completed, demonstrating the platform’s versatility in both routine and sensitive matters.

Supporting Public Administration and Special Permits

The platform wasn’t limited to personal and business services. It processed 22,765 no-criminal-record certificates, 7,006 final exit visa cancellations, and 1,667 rock-cutting material permits. Over 148,808 documents were delivered via mail, and more than 77,355 detailed reports were generated for users through Absher’s reporting tools.

Absher’s role continues to grow, highlighting the increasing reliance on digital governance to ensure efficiency across sectors, from traffic control to public safety and residency management. The platform’s ability to handle such a vast volume of transactions showcases the evolving landscape of digital transformation in Saudi Arabia.
