Digital Crackdown: Saudi Arabia Wipes Out Thousands of IP Violations in Ongoing Online Purge

In a sweeping digital offensive, Saudi Arabia has slammed the gates on more than 7,900 websites and scrubbed over 22,900 online items from digital storefronts as part of a nationwide push to enforce intellectual property rights.

The Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) led the charge, deploying electronic inspection squads to track down violators across cyberspace. The operation zeroed in on websites and e-commerce platforms suspected of flouting IP regulations—and the results were emphatic.

But this isn’t a one-off sting. The authority made it clear: this is only the beginning. Their crackdown continues, with a mission to hold violators accountable in every arena under their jurisdiction. Whether it’s pirated media, counterfeit products, or unauthorized reproductions, SAIP is tightening the noose around digital infringement.

The agency has urged the public—both citizens and residents—to be part of the solution. Those who spot suspicious activity are encouraged to report it via SAIP’s official social media handles (@saipksa), email (Saip@Saip.gov.sa), or the customer service line (920021421).

SAIP stands as the Kingdom’s official guardian of intellectual property, tasked with not just protecting creators and innovators but also transforming the IP culture across Saudi Arabia’s rapidly modernizing digital landscape.
