Empowering UAE Youth: Simplifying Cyberbullying Reporting Online

In a bold move towards safeguarding the digital well-being of children, the UAE Ministry of Interior has unveiled an innovative campaign. This initiative enlightens residents about the swift avenues available for reporting cyberbullying incidents.

Under the banner of ‘Together for a safer Internet for our children,’ this enlightening drive coincides with the World Safer Internet Day. It sheds light on the plethora of channels through which both guardians and youngsters can seek assistance in cases of online harassment.

The Ministry encourages swift action, offering multiple reporting options. These include a dedicated hotline at (116111), the user-friendly Ministry of Interior website specially designed for child protection (www.moi-cpc.gov.ae), and a designated email address (116111@moi.gov.ae). Moreover, the Hemayati application provides an accessible platform for reporting, while emergency situations can be addressed by dialing 999.

By simplifying the process and raising awareness, this campaign signifies a crucial step towards fostering a safer digital environment for the youth of the UAE. It underscores the nation’s unwavering commitment to combatting cyberbullying and ensuring the well-being of its young citizens in the online sphere.
