The Ministry of Education in Kuwait has introduced a new ‘scan’ feature within its mail and correspondence system to streamline the verification of employee tasks. This update is designed to relieve staff from the need to use the traditional fingerprint attendance system when performing official duties.
This digital enhancement, confirmed by educational sources, integrates official assignments and tasks into a unified electronic system that also manages administrative and financial operations. The scan function allows employees to upload official documents directly into the system, making them easily searchable and retrievable.
Additionally, this integration with the attendance system automatically updates employees’ attendance records while they are engaged in official tasks, eliminating the need for manual fingerprint verification. The system also sends out notifications via email or text message to keep employees informed of any new or updated assignments.
In related news, the Ministry of Education has collaborated with the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition (PAFN) to approve a new list of healthy foods for school cafeterias. The list includes options such as brown bread sandwiches filled with natural ingredients, unsweetened natural juices, and low-fat milk enriched with calcium and vitamins. On the flip side, items like soft drinks, energy drinks, high-sugar sweets, fried foods, and fast food have been banned from being sold in schools. The ministry has also signed contracts with local companies to ensure that only high-quality, healthy food is available to students.
