In a significant move to enhance services for the upcoming Hajj season, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) has issued 11,715 Ajeer Al-Hajj permits. These permits benefit 924 establishments dedicated to providing Hajj services.

Additionally, the ministry has granted 42,853 seasonal work visas across various professions, aiming to support both establishments and individuals involved in Hajj-related activities. This initiative is part of a broader effort to streamline seasonal employment and improve the overall experience for pilgrims at the Holy Sites.

The Ajeer Al-Hajj service, launched this year, is designed to facilitate seasonal employment by connecting job seekers with employers. This platform not only simplifies the hiring process but also ensures that all seasonal workers have the necessary permits. Violations of these regulations will result in penalties as mandated by law.

Through the Ajeer platform, establishments can issue work permits for both Saudi citizens and expatriates, allowing them to participate in the Hajj workforce temporarily. Job seekers can also apply for these positions by submitting their CVs online.

This initiative aims to enhance workforce flexibility, increase market efficiency, and reduce the reliance on foreign workers. The electronic system of Ajeer Al-Hajj provides a user-friendly interface for both employers and job seekers.

Moreover, the seasonal visa service enables establishments to meet their labor needs during the Hajj season, contributing significantly to the support of pilgrims. The ministry has facilitated the issuance of these visas on convenient terms, ensuring that all participating establishments comply with the required regulations.

In preparation for Hajj, the ministry has conducted several meetings in the Makkah region to assist establishments with the seasonal work regulations. Ongoing field tours and supervisory committees ensure compliance with all relevant laws and guidelines in Makkah and the Holy Sites.

By implementing these measures, Saudi Arabia continues to enhance the services provided to pilgrims, ensuring a more efficient and supportive environment during the sacred Hajj season.
