Sharjah’s Bold Move: Revamping Parent Councils for a New Era

In a move to modernize and invigorate community involvement, the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) has issued a transformative decision to amend the organizational regulations of parent councils. This decision, marking a significant update from the original SEC Decision No. 18 of 2017, aims to enhance the councils’ services and expand their roles across various sectors.

The council’s meeting, presided over by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Vice Chairman of the SEC, was held at the Sharjah Ruler’s Office. Key discussions centered around monitoring and improving government performance to align with the Emirate’s rapid growth.

Another highlight of the meeting was the review of the smart media platform’s report. This innovative platform is designed to streamline media operations across 58 government entities, delivering a high level of professionalism and embracing the latest in technical advancements. The report showcased user statistics, training sessions, and future development plans, underscoring the platform’s critical role in achieving Sharjah’s media vision.

Through these strategic decisions, Sharjah continues to reinforce its commitment to progressive governance and community engagement.
