Tunisia’s Leader Urges Overhaul of State Property Leasing Laws

In a crucial meeting with Minister of State Property and Land Affairs, Wajdi Hedhili, Tunisia’s President Kais Saied called for a thorough revision of the nation’s legal framework governing the leasing of state-owned land. Saied emphasized the importance of reinforcing the principle of priority, a legal concept designed to favor those proposing projects that foster community-focused enterprises and generate wealth benefiting the entire country.

The president highlighted the pressing need to safeguard state assets and ensure stringent legal actions against any violations, underscoring that the prosperity generated from such ventures should extend beyond individual gain and serve the nation as a whole.
