Saudi Ministry Takes Strict Action Against Over 3,000 Violations in Mosque Services Over 5 Years

In a bid to uphold the sanctity of religious spaces, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance in Saudi Arabia has diligently tracked and addressed over 3,000 violations related to mosque services across various regions of the Kingdom. These infractions include issues concerning electricity and water usage, with more than 2,500 cases successfully resolved.

The ministry is unwavering in its commitment to conducting thorough inspection rounds, ensuring the prevention of any misuse or exploitation of essential utilities like electricity and water meters. Moreover, it emphasizes the importance of preserving mosque facilities and properties, discouraging any unauthorized use.

At the core of the ministry’s actions is a deep-seated concern for public funds and the maintenance of the sacredness inherent in the houses of God. In an effort to enhance community involvement, the ministry urges both citizens and expatriates to collaborate by reporting any observed violations or irregularities in mosque services or property. This call to action can be facilitated through the Reports Receiving Center (1933) or by personally visiting ministry branches in different regions to submit detailed reports.

Emphasizing the pivotal role of citizens and residents, the ministry highlights their collective responsibility in achieving its mission of safeguarding mosques and preserving their sanctified spaces. Through such collaborative efforts, the ministry seeks to maintain the integrity of mosque services and uphold the sanctity of these revered places of worship.
