In a resolute move to uphold the sanctity of the annual Haj pilgrimage, Saudi Arabia has unfurled a series of stringent penalties for those who dare to flout the sacred regulations governing the revered journey in the year 2024.
Amidst the backdrop of the holy city of Mecca and the radiant fervor of devout Muslim pilgrims, the Ministry of Interior has decreed a formidable fine of 10,000 riyals, equivalent to nearly Dh 9,800, upon citizens and visitors ensnared without the requisite Haj permit.
This decree casts its shadow across multiple sanctified locales, including the city of Mecca, the central precincts, the hallowed sites, the Al-Haramain Train Station nestled in Al-Rasifa, the vigilant security control centers, as well as the transitory security control stations and sorting hubs.
The punitive measures, scheduled to come into effect from June 2, 2024, until June 20, 2024, serve as a staunch deterrent against any transgression of the mandated pilgrimage protocols.
In a stern reinforcement of this edict, the Ministry sternly announced that individuals dwelling in non-designated areas sans the requisite permit shall face deportation to their respective homelands, coupled with a prohibition from re-entering the Kingdom for specified durations as enshrined in the annals of Saudi law.
For those brazen enough to flout these stringent dictates, the fine of 10,000 riyals shall be compounded upon subsequent violations, serving as an unequivocal testament to the unyielding resolve of Saudi Arabia to safeguard the integrity of the Haj pilgrimage.
