Madbouly fervently emphasized the significance of this endeavor, emphasizing the imperative to modernize the legislation to mirror contemporary global benchmarks while harnessing Egypt’s distinctive economic prowess. He underscored the necessity for exhaustive deliberations and meticulous scrutiny to ensure that the revised law aligns with the exigencies of the evolving economic landscape.
The conclave assembled a consortium of eminent experts, including Minister of Justice Omar Marwan, Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala El-Said, and Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait, alongside other esteemed dignitaries.
Marwan shed light on the pivotal role of the Supreme Committee for Legislative Reform, delineating their mandate to craft amendments seamlessly integrating with extant legislation, thereby augmenting the competitiveness of Egypt’s economic zones. He expounded on the meeting’s objectives, which revolved around assessing feedback and insights garnered from prior consultations with diverse ministries and stakeholders.
Counselor Mohamed Abdel Aal meticulously presented a comprehensive report elucidating the observations collated by numerous ministries concerning the proposed modifications.
Egyptian cabinet spokesperson Mohamed El-Homosany succinctly encapsulated the outcomes of the meeting, accentuating the fruitful discourse that ensued. This encompassed the assimilation of observations, the invaluable contributions from the Supreme Committee for Legislative Reform, and the consensus on unified amendments.
These amendments are poised to be formally tabled before the Cabinet for endorsement, heralding a momentous stride forward in the legislative journey.
