The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has ordered the temporary closure of Let’s Talk Riz Corner Cafe L.L.C. in Abu Dhabi after inspections uncovered repeated food safety violations and found that effective corrective action had not been taken.
The cafe, operating under commercial licence number CN-2585722, was found to have breached Abu Dhabi’s food safety regulations under Law No. 2 of 2008 and related legislation. The violations were considered serious enough to warrant immediate administrative action to protect public health.
According to the authority’s inspection findings, the decision followed recurring breaches and the establishment’s failure to introduce adequate measures to address the problems. The closure is intended to prevent potential risks to consumers until the underlying issues are resolved.
ADAFSA has made clear that the cafe will remain closed for as long as the reasons behind the order persist. Operations can resume only after the establishment corrects the violations, meets the required conditions and obtains the necessary clearance to continue its business.
The action forms part of Abu Dhabi’s wider efforts to tighten food safety oversight across restaurants, cafes and other food-related businesses. ADAFSA conducts routine inspections of food establishments and products to ensure compliance with prescribed hygiene and safety standards.
The authority has also urged residents to report suspected food safety violations, including concerns about food quality or compliance at any establishment. Complaints can be submitted through the Abu Dhabi Government’s toll-free hotline at 800555.
Through regular inspections and public reporting, the authority aims to identify risks early and ensure that food supplied across the emirate meets required safety standards.
