Abu Dhabi’s road-safety heavyweight is steering into the future.
Emirates Driving Company PJSC, listed on the Abu Dhabi exchange under the ticker DRIVE, is set to acquire a 51% stake in UAE-based AI specialist Performise Labs. The majority acquisition signals a decisive pivot: from traditional driver training to a tech-powered mobility ecosystem.
The company, which operates under the umbrella of 2PointZero Group, is positioning the deal as more than an expansion. It’s a recalibration. Artificial intelligence is expected to be woven into mobility services, driver testing systems and training platforms — areas long dominated by conventional processes.
At the heart of the move lies a broader transformation. Emirates Driving is reshaping itself into “Emirates Mobility,” an integrated platform built around the evolving needs of transport, safety and smart infrastructure. By bringing Performise Labs into the fold, the company aims to embed AI at the operational core rather than treating it as an add-on.
The financial contours of the transaction remain undisclosed. But strategically, the direction is clear: the company that once focused on getting motorists licensed now wants to help define how mobility itself is measured, managed and modernized.
