Feds Investigate Columbia Protests for Possible Terror Ties

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Justice Department has launched an investigation into whether pro-Palestinian demonstrations at Columbia University violated federal terrorism laws, a top official confirmed Friday.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche revealed that authorities are also scrutinizing the university’s handling of past campus unrest, probing potential civil rights violations linked to the protests over the Gaza war.

“This is long overdue,” Blanche stated, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to curbing antisemitism. Federal agents executed a search warrant Thursday night in a separate probe, looking into allegations that Columbia University provided shelter to undocumented immigrants.

The investigation underscores heightened federal scrutiny of campus activism, with officials signaling a broader crackdown on institutions deemed complicit in what they describe as unlawful activities.
