Rudy Giuliani, once hailed as “America’s Mayor,” has been ordered to relinquish his Manhattan apartment, jewelry, and other high-end possessions as part of a court ruling linked to a defamation case. The ruling stems from accusations Giuliani made against two Georgia election workers, Ruby Freeman and her daughter Wandrea’ “Shaye” Moss, claiming they rigged votes during the 2020 election.
A federal jury previously found Giuliani guilty of defamation, and now Freeman and Moss, seeking nearly $146 million, have gained control of his valuables, including sports memorabilia, cash accounts, and luxury watches. The court’s decision also permits them to pursue $2 million in unpaid legal fees Giuliani claims he is owed by the Trump campaign and the Republican National Committee for post-election work.
Giuliani, who is appealing the verdict, has already declared bankruptcy but continues to face mounting legal challenges, including criminal indictments related to efforts to overturn the 2020 election.
