DOHA – In a decisive move, Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health has shuttered a private health services agency after uncovering significant regulatory violations. The agency, which employed eight healthcare professionals—including five nurses and three physiotherapists—was found to be in breach of several healthcare laws and regulations.
An investigation revealed that these practitioners were operating without valid licenses, working with unauthorized employers, and performing duties beyond their approved scopes of practice. Such infractions are considered serious violations of the country’s healthcare regulations.
In response to these findings, the Ministry has suspended the professional licenses of the implicated practitioners and is pursuing legal action against both the agency and the individuals involved. The case is now under the scrutiny of relevant authorities to ensure full compliance with health sector laws.
