Power Players Unite: New Conservative Law Firm Emerges with Ties to Musk, GOP Leaders

A new legal powerhouse is taking shape in Washington, blending the influence of billionaire Elon Musk’s political machine with key Republican figures. Dubbed Lex Politica, the firm is the brainchild of Chris Gober, legal advisor to Musk’s America PAC, alongside attorneys Steve Roberts and Jessica Furst Johnson—figures with deep ties to GOP heavyweights like House Speaker Mike Johnson and former presidential contender Vivek Ramaswamy.

Positioning itself as a go-to legal force for conservative campaigns and causes, Lex Politica aims to cement itself within the right-wing legal movement that has flourished since Donald Trump’s presidency. Gober, a former treasurer of Musk’s PAC, envisions the firm as a defining legal force for the modern conservative era.

Roberts and Johnson, who previously worked at the influential Holtzman Vogel law firm, bring with them a client roster that includes Senator Rick Scott, the National Republican Congressional Committee, and the National Republican Senatorial Committee. The trio’s move further signals the growing network of legal firms catering to the GOP’s most influential figures.

Musk’s involvement in conservative legal battles is nothing new. His social media platform X has enlisted the firm Schaerr Jaffe to represent users in free speech disputes, while his PAC’s legal arm continues to expand its reach in political litigation.

Lex Politica joins the ranks of firms like Dhillon Law Group, whose founder was tapped by Trump to lead the Justice Department’s civil rights division, and Schaerr Jaffe, which has played a role in shaping conservative legal strategy within the federal government.

With its launch, Lex Politica is set to become a significant force in Republican legal circles, reinforcing the expanding ecosystem of law firms working to shape the conservative legal landscape ahead of the 2024 election and beyond.
