In a significant move to strengthen legal cooperation, Qatar and Egypt have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) focused on justice and law. The agreement was formalized by Qatar’s Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi, and Egypt’s Minister of Justice, Counselor Adnan Fangri, who is currently on a visit to the Gulf state.
The MoU is set to enhance collaboration between the two nations by promoting the exchange of legal expertise, training, and capacity-building initiatives aimed at legal professionals. It also seeks to facilitate the exchange of laws, research, and legal studies. A key component of the agreement involves organizing specialized forums and conferences to further the development of the legal sectors in both countries.
Following the signing, Al Mohannadi and Fangri held discussions on advancing the legal partnership, outlining the next steps to implement the MoU and expand cooperation in various judicial fields. The meeting was attended by Egypt’s Ambassador to Qatar, Amr Kamal El-Din El-Sherbiny, and senior officials from both the Ministry of Justice and the Cabinet’s General Secretariat.
