In a groundbreaking move, the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) has introduced the Sanadkom initiative, a pivotal component of the Abu Dhabi Programme for Effortless Customer Experience. Initially catering to the families of deceased UAE nationals, the initiative is set to expand in subsequent phases to encompass all residents in the emirate.
Sanadkom is a visionary effort aimed at streamlining the customer experience, easing procedures for bereaved families to access government services and providing crucial support in the aftermath of the passing of an Emirati family member.
Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, the Undersecretary of the DoH, affirmed, “Under the directives of our wise leadership, we are committed to enhancing the customer experience and delivering exceptional government services to members of our community.”
As an integral part of the initiative, a dedicated representative from the joint government support team will be assigned to extend personalized support and assistance to bereaved families via phone, eliminating the need for physical visits to any government entity.
This groundbreaking approach ensures that families receive comprehensive support in navigating essential death-related transactions, including the acquisition of death certificates, coordination of burial arrangements, and the distribution of retirement pension benefits to beneficiaries on behalf of the insured or deceased.
The Sanadkom initiative digitally consolidates the services of seven governmental entities within the emirate, namely the DoH, Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD), Abu Dhabi Pension Fund (ADPF), Abu Dhabi Health Services Company – SEHA, Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC), Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC), and Al Ain Distribution Company (AADC).
Dr. Al Ghaithi emphasized, “Today marks a significant milestone where seven governmental entities join forces to launch the first phase of the Sanadkom initiative. This visionary endeavor seeks to establish an integrated service for bereaved families, empowering users to efficiently navigate all necessary government procedures.”
