Aerial perspective captures the majesty of the Abu Dhabi skyline, signaling a groundbreaking shift in judicial procedures. The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) has introduced an unprecedented system for the automatic annulment of enforcement decisions linked to financial payments, positioning itself as a trailblazer among regional judicial authorities.
The essence of this transformative initiative lies in the seamless integration of intelligent and precise indicators, providing real-time monitoring of payment statuses. This novel approach transcends traditional enforcement decision procedures, establishing the ADJD as a pioneer in deploying such a mechanism within the region.
Upon the respondent’s completion of payment through the ADJD’s application or website, the system promptly triggers the cancellation process for enforcement decisions exclusively tied to the payment component. These decisions, swiftly approved electronically, are seamlessly transmitted to the pertinent authorities.
Undersecretary Counselor Yousef Saeed Alabri underscored the alignment of this adoption with the strategic priorities of the Judicial Department, driven by the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The aim is to cultivate innovative, smart courts that deliver world-class services, reinforcing the competitive position of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Efforts to modernize the judicial system and achieve service excellence contribute to the emirate’s strength. This initiative marks a pioneering experience for court users, blending digital transformation, modern technologies, and intelligent, rapid systems enhanced by artificial intelligence.
Ahmed Ebraheem Almarzouqi, Executive Director of the Administrative Support Sector at ADJD, elucidated the reliance of the new system on intelligent indicators for real-time monitoring of payment statuses in enforcement files. Post-payment completion, the system autonomously initiates cancellation procedures for enforcement decisions tied solely to the payment component, with electronic approval and transmission to enforcing authorities.
Almarzouqi highlighted the significant reduction in post-payment cancellation time, eliminating the necessity for intervention by enforcement officers and judges. Respondents can conveniently access cancellation decisions via the smart app, facilitating travel arrangements or presenting them at police stations for cases involving arrest warrants due to non-payment. Additionally, cancellation orders reach relevant banks for the removal of seizure orders on deposits and bank accounts.
The system ensures efficient communication through automatic cancellation alerts to enforcement officers and judges, streamlining monitoring and follow-up processes for subsequent enforcement proceedings. Parties involved in enforcement cases are promptly notified through the Judicial Department’s application of any decisions taken.
