Sharjah is setting the stage for a new era in design and manufacturing with the establishment of the Sharjah Design Centre (SDC). The initiative, launched under an Emiri Decree by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, aims to position the emirate as a leading hub for creativity, prototyping, and economic innovation.
The Sharjah Design Centre will function as an independent entity with full financial and administrative autonomy under government ownership. Its headquarters will be based in the Sharjah Creative Quarter, within the University City of Sharjah, with the flexibility to expand across the emirate.
